Installed Arch Linux on a virtual machine. The command console isn’t as scary as I thought it would be, being stuck in it all the time.

As long as you know what the instructions are talking about it’s pretty easy to follow. Would make for a great portable OS to carry around I think. You wouldn’t even have to worry about video drivers and such if you just stayed in the CLI. Maybe I’ll go explore what CLI programs are out there next.

To get it working on Ubuntu I had to add in a patch to the kernel drivers but that was all copy-and-paste commands from someone else’s tutorial.
