I talked to one of my team mates today about the work I should be doing and he basically told me to read up on everything and anything so I would be ready for anything my supervisor could give me when he came back (he’s away on sick leave right now).

Well, at least I have a goal now:
BFS on all subjects relating to my development topic.

It’s a pretty broad goal, but a goal none the less.
I perform much better when I have some sort of goal in mind.
A purpose is nice to have when working.
It’s nice when there is something to show for your efforts too though.
Hopefully they’ll let me at my real work soon.

The day ended with a two hour meeting in which we talked about company notices, two people’s work travels, and current events of the areas that we were involved in.
I understand what the guy was saying during our orientation now.
These meetings for the sake of team cohesiveness make me feel somewhat like I’m losing time…
I’ll get used to it I’m sure.

But before the end of today, dinner in Shinjuku with a friend of a friend.
