After work and violin yesterday I met up with a friend from my department at UBC to discuss what project we will do once we get back to Canada.
In the winter term we have a project course where we take either one of a list of projects or one of our own design and do it while taking up to 7 other courses.
We first thought of proposing our own.
First it was a mechanically linked robot suit much like that made in the Skeletonics project.
Then it became a small manipulator arm that received commands via Kinect.
Then we just decided to go with one of the given projects.

A countable infinity of stone pillars lining the path to the shrine at Kotohira.
The carvings are all names of the place followed by names of people and companies (if I remember correctly).
I believe they are proof that people have paid homage to the god and have gained their favor.
Or they’re monuments to people who have died on the way up, just saying.
