So now we’re at base 8 on mount Fuji.
The trek up started cloudy but the sky is clear now and there are no complaints about the weather.
Colder than on used to for Japan but not bad compared to the wind chilled peak of Whistler in the winter.
I seem to be experiencing some symptoms of altitude sickness.
A minor head ache.
It feels like what a minor fever would feel like.
Some of the others feel nauseous and have more server head aches though.
Seems it depends on the person.
And for some thought: here is a monument to those who lost their way going up the mountain, never to return alive again.
I can imagine that the bells are for calling the dead one’s spirits back to the proper path.
They are all left there by others who climb the mountain.
