Heading home from a day of working in the lab after a morning of training:

Besides homework and learning new things in some of my classes (like writing Maxwell’s equations using four dimensional notation,  superposition of wave functions and solving said wave functions in an infinite and finite square well, pitchfork bifurcations, solving quasi linear first order partial differential equations, using the state variable model to find the transfer function of a system, and balance sheets) the most interesting thing that happened this week was getting back on track and making some proper progress on the project.
My partner, AP, and I went to talk to three project lab manager about some problems we were facing.
As we were explaining the problems to him we slowly discovered the we weren’t in as deep a hole as we thought we were (thankfully).
Amazing how people who you feel are credible can put your mind at ease about things you panic over.
The day after taking to him we built some stuff (physical progress!).

Version 1 of the lamp. The arms are a bit to thin in my opinion.

Hand folded version 2. They might look prettier of they folded all the way up and curled around on its self.

No electronics yet, just playing around with paper.
My image is that they be shipped flat, tossed in an oven to fold themselves.
Would anybody want a self folding paper lamp that can be run off of a coin battery?
Sizes can be varied from tiny to bedside lamp (I think, still need to test that).
